Phil Caylor
Licensed Acupuncturist
Phil Caylor has dedicated more than fifty years to helping people live healthier, happier, and pain-free lives. His practice is rooted in restoring each patient’s natural capacity to rejuvenate and heal, with the goal of achieving lasting relief and renewed vitality.
His journey into healing arts began in the mid-1960s with the study of yoga, which later expanded to teaching and practicing Chi Gong in the early 1970s. In 1971, he began working as a massage therapist, pursuing what would become a lifelong passion for learning and refining holistic approaches to health. Just a few years later, in 1977, he founded the Holistic Health Institute of Santa Cruz, the county’s first massage school.
In 1988, Phil graduated from Five Branches University and became a licensed acupuncturist. Since then, he has strengthened his training across a wide spectrum of healing modalities, including acupuncture, massage, nutrition, craniosacral therapy, energy healing, and stress reduction techniques. Throughout his career, he has emphasized the importance of compassion and presence, what he describes as “living from the heart.”
Today, Phil specializes in advanced acupuncture methods that blend traditional wisdom with modern innovation. His practice integrates Electro-Acupuncture Medicine (EAM), Tung and Tan acupuncture, trigger point and dry needling, auricular acupuncture, and scalp acupuncture. Patients frequently describe experiencing a deep sense of relaxation and significant pain relief during treatment.
After more than five decades of practice, Phil remains as committed as ever to supporting his patients on their path to healing. His mission has always been the same: to help people restore balance, find relief, and live healthier, pain-free lives.
